Alexanderplatz is one of the main, large public square in the central Berlin Mitte district, near the Fernsehturm. Alexanderplatz is also a main transport hub in  central Berlin. Berliners usually call the square just Alex, and they refer to the larger neighborhood stretching from Mollstraße in the northeast to Spandauer Straße and the City Hall in the southwest.
