From Scheunenviertel to ChauseestaBe, Berlin's back yard

This section of Berlin was inhabitated by swindlers, gangsters, prostitutes and poor people, until the 1930's. About 50 thousand Jews used to live here, until the Nazi's pogroms. Today the place is completely different to what it gave it the name, but it stills a blend of red-light district, artistic place, East Berlin lifestyle.
